Mythbinder
A downloadable game for Windows
PERFORMANCE/STABILITY WARNING
This is an extremely early, unoptimized prototype. On some PCs it may run poorly or even cause crashes or shutdowns under heavy load. If you experience anything weird, please don’t keep forcing it – we’re working on a more stable build soon.
What is Mythbinder?
Mythbinder is a top-down action RPG where you don’t fight alone.
You play as Eiden, a mythbinder who commands powerful spirit companions like Wind and Joy. The core fantasy is about positioning, tactics, and synergy: you direct your companions, keep them safe, and use their unique abilities to control the battlefield while you support, buff, and manipulate the flow of combat.
Even in this tiny prototype, you can already see the foundations of:
-
A stat and attribute system built for growth and theorycrafting
-
Experience and leveling, so your choices actually matter over time
-
An early loot and item system, hinting at the kind of builds and customization we want in the full game
This build is focused on testing systems, not telling the full story yet—but the world, characters, and narrative layers are in active development behind the scenes.
What’s in this Prototype?
This is what you can expect in this early version:
-
Core stats & progression
-
A functioning stat system (health, damage, etc.)
-
Experience gain and basic level progression
-
The beginnings of how we want characters to grow and feel stronger over time
-
-
Loot & items
-
Enemies and sources that can drop items
-
Early versions of rarity / stat variation concepts
-
The base of a system that will later support deep itemization and build creativity
-
-
Early combat and movement
-
Top-down movement and basic combat interactions
-
A first pass at how fights might feel once the companion system, abilities, and AI are fully fleshed out
-
Important: This Is a Buggy Prototype
We want to be very clear:
This prototype is a messy, buggy, work-in-progress build.
You will find:
-
Visual glitches
-
Broken or temporary UI
-
Unbalanced stats and damage numbers
-
Placeholder content
-
Systems that are present, but not fully tuned or explained in-game
That’s intentional at this stage. Our goal right now is to get the core systems running, gather feedback, and keep building—not to pretend this is close to a finished game.
If something explodes (hopefully only in-game), feel free to laugh with us, not at us. 😅
Why Release So Early?
Because ambition + accountability.
Mythbinder is a big project for a small team. Releasing this prototype:
-
Fulfills a commitment tied to our scholarship
-
Forces us to put something real and playable in front of people
-
Lets us start building a small community around the game from day one
-
Gives us early feedback on what feels interesting, confusing, or fun
If you see potential here, that means a lot to us.

This is just Day 0 for Mythbinder. We’ll keep iterating on:
-
Deeper companion mechanics
-
More interesting loot and builds
-
Better moment-to-moment combat feel
-
Actual story and worldbuilding in-game
Thanks a lot for checking out this rough prototype. You’re seeing Mythbinder at its most fragile, but also at its most honest: a big dream in its earliest playable form.
